It is a one component, room temperature curing, acetic cure, 100% silicone elastomer that does not require the addition of activators, stabilizers, or catalysts to achieve optimum performance. Basic Uses – CRL 33S Silicone is especially designed for joining and sealing most non-porous building materials including a variety of structural materials: Glass, aluminum, metal alloys, stainless steel, wood, and plastics. It has a wide operating temperature range of -80 ƒ‚ ‚° to 400 ƒ‚ ‚°F (-62 ƒ‚ ‚° to 204 ƒ‚ ‚°C), and can be applied at outdoor temperatures as low as -35 ƒ‚ ‚° to 140 ƒ‚ ‚°F (-37 ƒ‚ ‚° to 60 ƒ‚ ‚°C). 33S exhibits strong physical properties: 350 psi Tensile Strength; 120 psi Lap Shear at 1/8″ thickness and Tear Strength of 25 ppi. It will seal curtainwall joints, steel and aluminum windows, and skylights. Indoor uses include bathtubs, showers, and sanitary installations. Limitations – It is not recommended for structural glazing or insulating glass glazing, concrete and stone expansion joints, horizontal decks, patios, driveway or terrace joints where abrasion is possible.
