OSI SC175 28 oz. Acoustical Sound Elastomeric Sealant

This is a water-based sealant designed to reduce sound transmissions in walls and partition systems. The primary function is to achieve and maintain the specific STC (Sound Transmission Class) value of the system design. Use this sealant for exposed and unexposed applications at perimeter joints, floor and ceiling runner, cut-outs in gypsum board, veneer plaster systems, and other areas where a sound rated assembly is required. This nonstaining, nonmigrating formula will not harden, crack, or separate. It is UL tested and classified and carries a high degree of adhesive and cohesive strength. Remains flexible and adheres firmly to wood or metal studs, concrete, gypsum board and most other types of building substrates. Maintains a tough rubber-like seal against air-borne sound, air infiltration and moisture. Non-flammable.
